Aviation Hub: COHOR/DGAC employs CDM Hub

January 2010

Process support with airport slot coordination for the French airport coordination organization (COHOR) and French flight security (dgac/DSNA) based on Informationsdesign’s CDM Hub.

In cooperation with German Flight Security (DFS), the French airport coordinator and French flight security will together be using STANLY/CDM, Informationsdesign’s CDM Hub for process support for the coordination of airport slots.

Developed under DFS Situation and Information Center (CC/FZ), the STANLY/CDM system is already used by the German airport coordinator (FHKD) and AIS-C to coordinate airport slots within Germany. It facilitates the comparison of airport slots with ATC flight schedules. It is also able to interpret and coordinate IATA and ICAO data.

The German-French partnership intends to make the STANLY/CDM function available to both FHKD and COHOR. The necessary flight schedule data is supplied by the DSNA. The necessary data exchange between COHOR and DFS is effected by secure data transfer via the internet (extranet via VPN) using Services (SOAP). Scheduled servicing will be performed by DFS.

The system will first be used at Cannes and Nice airports, noted for a high volume of general aviation traffic and a series of “special events”, before being extended to other French airports.
