Fuel Data Distribution Center productive

The FDDC Fuel Data Distribution Center is a central Data Hub that automates the communication between cockpit and the fueling companies.

On one side the fueling suppliers get information about the flights to service - on the other side Lufthansa gets the receipt after fueling was finished and furthermore this receipt is confirmed. In addition measuring points of the fueling process are forwarded to the turnaround management system TMAN.

The challenge was to connect the distributed fueling with their varying systems to the central Lufthansa system. This was done using various protcols and data formats. Next to APIs and clients a standardized Java Message Service was established that interchanges unified XML-Messages.
