Aviation Hub: ACL/NATS tests CDM Hub
Mai/Juni 2011
Process support of the airport slot coordination for the British airport coordination organization (ACL) and British flight security (NATS) based on Informationsdesign’s CDM Hub.
After the airport coordinators of Germany (FHKD) and France (COHOR), the British airport coordinator and British flight security will be using STANLY/CDM STANLY/CDM, together in cooperation with German Flight Security (DFS). STANLY/CDM is the CDM Hub of Informationsdesign for process support for the coordination of airport slots.
Developed under DFS Situation and Information Center, the STANLY/CDM system facilitates the comparison of airport slots with ATC flight schedules. It is also able to interpret and coordinate IATA and ICAO data.
After a successful trial period it is intended to make the STANLY/CDM function permanently available to ACL. The necessary flight schedule data is supplied by the NATS. The necessary data exchange between ACL and DFS is effected by secure data transfer via internet (extranet via VPN) using Services (SOAP). Scheduled servicing will be performed by DFS.
At first the system will be used at the London airports Gatwick, Luton and Stansted before being extended to other British airports.
